Someone rightly has said that choosing a travel destination is more like choosing a house. The only difference is that you don’t have to live in your vacation spot for your life.

Purpose: Firstly figure out why you are looking for holiday. If this is simply because you want a break from your daily lives, your choice should be different from a family holiday or a holiday for your kids.

Time and duration: Time is a key factor in selecting your travel destination. If you want to vacation in winter, select a beach area while in case of a summer vacation select a mountainous or snowy region.

Again duration of your tour plays a vital role. If you have shortage of time, then you ought to select a nearby place, so that you can return within few days. But if you have 10 days or more leave, then you can easily sail out far away.

Conveyance: Select the mode of conveyance. If you will choose a flight or a train, you can select furthest station while if you choose to drive, you have to choose a nearby location.
